Joy is the message, music is the medium and Joseph Frantz Louis is the master. Internationally acclaimed and dynamic Haitian entertainer Joseph Frantz Louis heads up FANFAN AND FRIENDS, a band which mixes smooth jazz, reggae, and Haitian folk songs.

Throughout his career Joseph has performed, composed, and recorded reggae, soca, and traditional Haitian music intertwined with African and Brazilian rhythms. He was awarded a certificate of appreciation by the Smithsonian in recognition for his exceptional contribution and participation to the diffusion of knowledge about folk life traditions. While conducting a seminar during the St.Croix Heritage Festival, Joseph demonstrated the diversity and significance of different forms of folk music. In 1991 he was awarded Best Guitarist in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area by the WAMA Association. Then in 1992, his musical prominence took him where he played at the inaugural ball for President Clinton. FANFAN has played at the opening game for the Baltimore Orioles Baseball Club and was among the sixth finalist at the BET Sound Stage Music Showcase. FANFAN AND FRIENDS have a great jazz and Caribbean flavor.
